Favourite Vendors | Regina Wedding Dress Shops

Two stores stand out among the rest in Regina for the most modern and fun wedding dresses. Ninety percent of my brides purchase their gowns from one of these two stores so we thought we would sit down with them for a chat to help all Sask brides find out a bit more about them, the process of purchasing a gown and what is up and coming in bridal trends!  I personally am loving that the geometric trend in decor is carrying over to wedding dresses. Almost art deco inspired in their lines, they are works of art in their own. Read our interviews below.

Sweet Pea & Noelle

How long have you been in business?

We have been in business since October 13, 2016.

What budget can a bride expect to spend on her wedding dress?

In our boutique our gowns range from $1500-$4000 with the average cost of our gowns being: $2400-$2800. We honestly suggest to decide on the quality fabric, silhouettes etc and do some research on the origins of the designers and their production before deciding on a particular designer and picking a budget. Of course keep within your means but also consider quality for the price.

How much time should a bride should a bride start shopping before her wedding date?

We suggest as long as possible, one year definitely. Our gowns are Canadian designed and made, our turnaround time is usually much quicker than most boutiques which is great if you’ve decided on planning wedding in less than a year. But weddings are stressful so having that big item off the planning list will help save you some unnecessary worry and gives you a great jumping block for the general mood and feel for your wedding.

Who should they bring with them shopping?

We have a “Queen Policy” here at Sweet Pea & Noelle. The “Queen Policy”, which all of our associates and staff abide by, is that our bride’s comfort and empowerment is our top priority. This also means that when too many opinions are swirling in the bride’s head, it is our job to make sure she is still listening to her inner voice. We’ve had many brides come in with their whole group, found they were overwhelmed with everything going on that they re-booked for another appointment with just their mom or friend. When it comes to the number of people that accompany the bride, we suggest less is more. We understand that it’s all so exciting you can’t imagine shopping without everyone but trust us when we say, you’ll be glad you went with a small group.

Do you also sell garments for the bridesmaids?

Because we cater so much to our brides we do our best to make sure the attention stays on the bride. For this reason we carry only Infinity wrap bridesmaids gowns. They come in 54 different colours, four different lengths and can be wrapped to every style.

What’s trending right now in wedding fashions?

We’re seeing lot’s of bold, 70’s inspired laces paired with a late 90’s silhouette. Slip dresses are also a great trend that our brides are loving for their light weight and romantic vibes. Brides aren’t afraid of colour anymore so we’re getting more inquiries for colours like nudes, blush and greys and it’s obvious our designers are listening.

How long have you been in business?

We have proudly been in business for 12 years!

What budget can a bride expect to spend on her wedding dress?

The price range that a bride can expect to spend on their wedding dress in our store is $1000-3000. We don’t carry dresses over 3k.

What’s trending right now in bridal fashions?

What I see trending right now is two piece dresses, which is really exciting. Lace is seeming to be less popular, and mixed media is on the rise. Dresses that have mixed materials such as appliqués, tulle, chiffon are so interesting and original. Brides are also favouring belts with pearls instead of glitzy rhinestones.

Do you also sell garments for the rest of the wedding party?

Yes, we sell dresses for the bridesmaids as well as for the mothers of the bride and groom.

How much time should a bride start shopping before her wedding date?

The majority of our brides shop eight to ten months in advance. In our opinion it is never to early or too late to start wedding dress shopping. We have brides with short time frames that will buy off the rack. It might take a little bit longer to find a dress this way but we can always make it work.

Who should they bring with them shopping?

A bride should bring people who are just as excited and energetic as she is. This is such an exciting time in her life that the vibe of the group should be extremely positive. We understand that it’s hard to leave some people out when shopping, but if you know they might not be the most uplifting person we recommend bringing them to a fitting instead. Smaller groups are better just in terms of the space we are located in, but we have had some amazing larger groups of ten or so people who were completely focused on this being the bride’s day. They can be such amazing little parties that we also can’t help getting in on all the fun!

Check them out at their location at 1853 Hamilton Street, Regina SK or online at NWL!
